*Note: This is a conceptual and group project.
The challenge
Design an intuitive mobile application that allows young people to access mental health professionals and offer additional functionalities for managing stress and anxiety due to lack of information or time.
Designing process
At this stage, in-depth research was conducted to understand the needs and problems of users. For this, interviews were conducted to 8 people who helped create a map of empathy, which showed that many young people feel anxiety, loneliness, and the pressure of what others think. A "user persona" was also designed, a typical user profile, such as a student who is under a lot of pressure to keep his scholarship and has trouble finding accessible professional help. Thanks to this research, opportunities for the app were discovered, such as trust chats or habit tracking
Here, a "problem tree" was used to precisely define the main challenge: young people do not know how to manage their mental health, especially stress and anxiety, due to lack of information, time and daily difficulties. The effects of this problem (such as emotional frustration or low performance) and its causes (including economic limitations, mental health stigma or lack of education to express emotions) were identified. In addition, the "5 whys" technique was applied to understand the deeper reasons and ensure that the application was really suitable for young people
At this stage, the functionalities and structure of the application were defined. A "user flow" and a "mind map" were created to organize what the app would do and where each function would be. To start viewing the interface, a group "crazy 8" was made, where the most appropriate screens were chosen for each function, such as login, main screen, meditations or chat with professionals. The results of testing the first prototype also generated new ideas, such as adding a section to explain a concept called "Tulipan" or highlighting access to emotion registration

Result
The final design proposes a clear and emotional visual experience, which guides young people in moments of anxiety or stress, facilitating access to professional accompaniment. The focus is on intuitive navigation and emotional containment from design.
What I learned
This project allowed me to understand the great importance of mental well-being today. I learned not only how to work with large teams remotely, but also that creating tools that facilitate access to mental health support is very beneficial for users. Alma is looking for the potential of an application with many functions and advantages. This highlights the importance of continuing to explore and improve the experience so that users can make the most of it.
